However, I am still receiving the error message that port forwarding is not configured correctly on both of my HTPC devices. and yet the diagnostic test says that everything is hunky dory. I also already have DYNDNS taking care of any ISP IP changes. Did anyone take a look at my attachments above to see if there is any glaring issues with my configuration? Thank you in advance.
There was one thing that I thought was unusual....Looks like something is mixed up to me.

DynDNS = 10.0.0.3 Maybe click UPDATE. Shouldn't this number be the same as....MMC/Advanced/Network = 98.232.91.183

What is the model number of that router? I'll see if I can find a "online simulator" and check it out.

Hey guys,

I hope someone can assist me here. I had my entire set up disconnected for 6 weeks while my upstairs loft area was being finished. Router and modem were moved to the base, ment in the meantime.
I have an issue now that I have reconnected everything.I have had MMC for about 5 years and this has never popped up before. I have HDHome run prime 3 tuner

When opening up MMC on my HTPC, and I go into the advanced network page to test out port forwarding, it provides me with an internal IP address, but for external IP address it states "unable to obtain address"

Because it can't obtain an external IP address, I cant utilize MMC outside my home network, and my main reason for this app is to have "remote" access

I have restarted, rebooted, and disconnected/reconnect everything and I still get this pesky message.
Can I "manually" enter my external IP address in the app and go from there?

Can anyone help me here?

EDIT: It appears that by locating my external IP address and then manually entering it into the app that I now have remote access.

I wonder why i was getting that message on the MMC set up on my PC about cant locate external IP

It also appears that every Ceton corp email and web site is now non-functional (even their diagnostic email within that HTPC program)

I had this issue come up 3 weeks ago and haven't been able to solve it. All of a sudden it stopped connecting remotely. Can you advise what Internal and External Port you are using? Since the MMC config tool is unable to load the external IP address, I can't use the port forwarding test utility to figure out which port will work for forwarding. I do have my external IP address properly entered into the app. I am currently using ext port 5858 and internal port 5858. Very frustrating. Thanks.
