I appear to be getting French HD channels with a DVB-T card ?
As the title suggests I was very surprised when I had to install Media Center again due to one one of the usual silly Windows 10 build updates which as we know stops MC from functioning...
Anyway I setup Media Center again and sometimes I pick up half a dozen channels from France because I'm on the East Coast of the UK.
So when I scanned for channels I got twenty off channels from France most of which function and some appear to be in High Definition or 720 / 1080i quality ?
I'm totally baffled because I cannot get UK digital HD Freeview channels because I require DVB-T2 and I have an old Terratec Cinergy 2400i which does not do HD or so I thought ?
So what is going on here ? Does France have DVB-T that supports higher quality channels ? I'm baffled ?

Hi.
Parts of mainland Europe do indeed use DVB-T for HD broadcasts.
Here in the UK we can only receive HD using a DVB-T2 tuner.
Edit: or DVB-S2 for satellite of course!
