Using EPG123 - Series art seems a bit odd

Greetings.. Recently converted to EPG123. Great.. Fantastic...

I don't know if this issue is with epg123 or schedules direct..

Some of the series cover art does not have english text...

I've noticed this with "Stargate SG1" "Last man standing" and Hogans Heros"

The text for Hogans heros says "Papa Shults"...

Did I misconfigure EPG123?

Not a showstopper but just curious... Movie Art seems ok... Repeatable on second wmc machine.

Best Regard,

My cover art looks fine for Hogan's Heroes and Last Man Standing. Are you sure you are using EPG123 for the source?

Open the client and take a look at the bottom status bar... should say "XX Merged Channel(s) with XX shown | X Lineup(s) | 53 Service(s) with 26 shown". What does yours say? If you look on the left-side channel list, under the column header "Subscribed Lineup", every lineup should start with "EPG123"... does yours show that?

26 merged Channels(s) with 26 shown | 1 Lineup(s) | 83 Service(s) with 83 shown

All entries show EPG123 Local Over the Air Broadcast (97124)

Is this an EPG123 issue or schedules direct?

PS: Iset up a task in EPG123 but didn't set a task up on EPG123 client... The client screen shows Full mode and automatch is checked.

Based on your description, everything is as it should be. Let me poke around a bit to see if I can find out where those images are coming from.

I pulled down every station in your lineup thinking maybe those episodes you were looking at were on Spanish channels, but didn't find that. These are the images I got and you should be seeing.

I may have seen the same thing you have recently but didn't think too much on it ... been playing around with other sources so not sure what I was looking at. EPG123 doesn't cache the series image links, so on next update it should resolve to the same images I got just now.

The issue, if it persists, is with Schedules Direct. I took a look at all 159 images for Hogan's Heroes and all 222 images for Last Man Standing, and not a single one was in a language other than English. You can take a look at the link is currently in the C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\guideImages.xml file for each episode. This will change on every update with only the movie links persisting.

OK.. That is NOT what I am seeing... Where is the series art stored? I'll display what I've got.

The images aren't stored anywhere. I just provide hyperlinks. Can you provide a screen capture of what you are seeing?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read your msg correctly on the phone.

Ahh, a picture is worth a thousand words. Those images are provided by Recorded TVHD which searches for and selects them from either TVDB or TMDB. They have nothing to do with EPG123 or Schedules Direct.

For series art, TVDB just recently moved over to the v3 API, but broke the v1 and v2 API... they're having problems and we're not sure they are going to recover to the same level of performance as they were. IT Troll let us know about it in this post.

EDIT: attaching what you sent me for everyone else to see:
