WMC failed and once restarted was unresponsive. Task manager showed mcupdate running at max%. After some tinkering, I found that PvrRecoveryTask appeared to be kicking off mcupdate repeatedly (instances appearing on resource manager as 'Terminated' but still consuming lots of cpu). When I killed this task, cpu utilisation dropped down and WMC resumed normal responsive operation.
So, what is PvrRecoveryTask meant to do? Should/ can I leave it disabled?
Thanks, all!
What does PvrRecoveryTask do?

Thanks, Crash2009 - I'm not having problems at the moment, but will have a look!
