So, I do the whole setup. Choose 1080p. WMC looks like it's running in HD but when I go to any of the live TV channels even though they are marked HD, I only see SD in the middle of the screen. Not sure if it's a problem with my HDHomerun prime setup or WMC.
I already have a windows 7 version of WMC running fine against the same HDHomerun tuners. It's just that the channel list is different on the windows 7 box for some reason.
New Install of WMC on 8.1 not displaying TV in HD

I think this is just a guide issue. None of the channels above 700 show up in the guide. Those were the channels that used to be HD. Then Cablevision made their cable box automatically figure out the HD numbers. For example, 2 and 702 both would switch to CBS HD. I don't think WMC knows how to do this natively and Rovi must not be sending the channels above 700 in the guide. HDHomerun setup app shows all of them.

Are you using a cablecard or analog/clear QAM tuners ?
On my cable system, under 100 is all SD channels, HD locals don't show up till 1000 (1004, NBC, 1008, ABC, etc) channels I DO use a cablecard.
I would get a copy of your channel line up from your cable company and compare them.
