I'm curious about a recurring error I see.
If I check the update icon by the clock it will say 'errors during last update' but when I check for updates it downloads the guide successfully and then says the guide is already up to date.
I then look at the update icon again and it still states 'errors during last update' and will try again at...
What else does Media Center download that might be getting this error or is it one of MS's erroneous messages?
Is the Guide data the only thing it tries to download?

HTPC Specs:
The error in the WMC Event Log is probably "Failed to retrieve nettv (Error: PackageName is invalid.)". Don't worry about it, I think it's for the "internet TV channels" that Microsoft discontinued a long time ago. It's safe to ignore.
