Remote Potato

Greetings everyone, newbie here.

I'd like to install Remote Potato on my WMC machine but cannot find a valid download link. I can find in in Soft Pedia but frankly I'm scared to use that source. All other download links show the 404 msg.

Anyone have a valid link they can share?

Although I don't know how "safe" it is.

I also have an old personal copy that I found that I have attached. So I guess you can decide who you trust more .

Thanks for the attachment.
I've attempted to install but the server refuses to 'listen'
when I run netstat -a, I see something on 19080 but not on 9080 or 9081 etc.
when I attempt access from another pc, it just times out.

I've installed a tiny web server as a test on the machine which will (hopefully) be running RP, and it works fine
when accessing from other pc's on my network.

I'm frankly at a loss as to why this does not work on my windows 8.1 machine which runs WMC just fine.

Anyone else out there have any clues?

Someone elsewhere mentioned to check that .net 4 was installed but I thought that was installed by default in 8.1 pro

I would double check the settings in remote potato. I vaguely remember being able to set the port RP uses. If your using windows 8, then a patch is required. See here: https://github.com/carlospuk/remotepotato/issues/7 I'll try to upload a copy of the patch

That fixed my issues, I've now got Remote Potato working nicely.
