Sometimes ff and rewing stops working when viewing live tv

Sometimes the key just stops working and it isn't even the remote. It does not work if I use the mouse either. It happens randomly. Has anyone experienced this or know of a solution?

I've seen the same behavior in live TV. Pause, FF, Rew, skip forward and back all stop functioning occasionally, with the only work around I have found so far is to change channels. It's not a good workaround if you're a few minutes behind on the show....
Hopefully someone else has seen this.
This is on a Dedicated Windows 8.1 WMC. Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Prime tuner, all Windows updates installed, latest Prime software/drivers, Other software: My Channel Logos, My Movies, W7CallerID, No other software installed outside of Adobe acrobat reader.

I have the same hardware and software. Changing channels does fix it but not good work around.

I can replicate this by doing a manual guide update via the remote. if guide is set to automatically update, that is the random happening.
for my system. try it see if this occurs for u.
