:o :o Hi,

I HAD- WMC running on win8 for 3 years after screwing around with trying to do it on 10 for years...

short go of it- last update for my hd homerun installed new C= software, I think.

Wmc won't run, go to start up a fresh install screen even after actually finishing it and it's "working", but the next reboot, same thing. wiped out, need to run setup, search channels, etc

Also, install/uninstalled from windows features..

image restored to 3 months ago-works untill I update.

The symptoms sound similar to the permissions issue associated with KB5011564. You might try the fix. I've just turned off updates for now.

Thanks for the fix, I kinda decided to see what refresh windows does or reinstall, so it will keep my key.

I can't do it from the repair feature, I need files.

My problem is what .iso do I need? I tried to lots and it always says wrong disk

I feel your pain and frustration. What worked for me was setting WMC to run as Administrator and it works as normal. Hope this helps. :)
