Amulet Media Center Voice Remote - stock clearance, $34 each
This might be of interest to TGB readers:
Amulet Devices are discontinuing the Amulet Voice Remote for Media Center, and are selling off remaining stock at a deeply discounted rate between now and 18 October. The price is $34 including free worldwide shipping.
If you missed earlier discussions, the Amulet is an MCE-compatible IR remote that also supports IR learning from other devices. It incorporates a wireless USB audio microphone (triggered via tilt action) that can be used with speech recognition software to add voice control to most Windows-based home theatre setups. Amulet provides software for controlling Media Center by voice, and there are third party solutions for other platforms.
If you've looked at Amulet before and couldn't make up your mind, you have about 10 days left in which to do so

I find them to work ok so far but I need to work with voice settings some more as it seems to work "poorly" for changing channels and works fairly well for browsing recorded tv shows for some reason. (Which is weird due to them using the same voice input.)

I just bought one of these on ebay without a battery... Could someone post the model # of the VARTA battery as well as the instructions for programming?
Thanks!
Thanks!
