Hi all,

I recently built a HTPC. Aorus b550i board, AMD Ryzen 4600g, 16gb ram, Windows 10 pro. Pretty capable. Movies, TV shows on a NAS source. PCIE DVB-S2 dual tuner.

If I just want to duplicate my WMC setup from my win7 PC to a win10 PC (channels, mappings, recordings, favorites, etc) can I just restore an epg123 backup from 1 to the other? If so, how far should I take...

Your favorites are dependent on your guide data, so import the guide and see if everything comes back. The restore will only work if you have the exact same tuners as when the backup was created. If you have not setup all the tuners in the Win10 machine and/or tuners are different, then the restore...

So, I tried installing WMC V8.8.5 on my computer, followed the guide to a T, but then when I ran InstallerBLUE, (the one I want), it said 'find is not recognized as an internal or external command, etc. Being new to computers, I have no idea how to fix this! Help!

Just to check, will the backup/restore in the database utilities of in EPG123 client back and restore all channels, mappings, recordings, favorites, EPG and WMC settings? Is there only one backup zip file or could be more?

I used the Win10/11 installer with win11 and I upgraded from 22h1 to 22h2....

For any big updates for Win10/11, the WMC registry settings are deleted. The msi package will add most of them back in but it doesn't know what the tuners were are some WMC settings... it...

today (!) i swaped my old laptop from W7 to W10 (upgrade) and get from MS 22H2 ....
the istalling of 8.8.5 (Garys version) works well, also the dvdplayer, but when i tried to
activate WMC i failed at least bevor i can start channel-finding (satellit)

anyone else who had this troubles ?...

have installd version 8.9.0 including the DVDSoftpackages, works fine so far
but starting a recordet wtv..file with WMC needs around 25 seconds to show a furter 5 sconds to play.
The same file starts with VLC-Player immeadetly...?

Any idea ?

All the forums say that Win10 1511 or earlier can see Cablecard tuners.

Well, I have a fresh install of Win10 2015 LTSB that can see my HDHomeRun OTA tuner but cannot see my HDHomeRun Prime Cablecard tuner.
Could someone verify for me that it's working for them?

I've got the newest version of DisplayPort and it works with everything else and is HDCP compliant.

Had a problem and decided to start from the beginning but cannot find out how to remove WMC.
Using the newer 8.9 msi it keeps saying WMC is already installed and I cannot get any further.
Cannot delete eHome as I don't have access.
