I jumped to quick. I replaced the 955 with a 950q (two of the same tuners) and still cannot get any TV stations. Any insights will be great. I will try an antenna instead of my antenna from the attic but do not think it is the signal. I have it in other rooms with no issues.

I just encountered the same problem as before - that another rogue channel appeared at the end of the HDHR lineup. Just by X-ing it out fixed it, as recommended by Gary. I don't know if Freeview are playing games here or what it is.

You are probably just better off using the logo stuff Gary built in to EPG123 since MCL appears to be abandoned.
I used to use MCL but now use the EPG123 logos with some custom ones left over from when I used MCL.

I finally figured it out! The KSTP moved to RF 14 and 24. I'm not sure why I wasn't able to get 14 to work last night, but it's working now, and in time for me to DVR the Monday night Football game!

I had to hook up my old LG 1080p TV and use it's built in tuner to decipher what RF the channels...

Garbage collection has been running without any problem when triggered by EPG123 since I created a VB script that runs in the background to stop the Recording Broker service when mcupdate.exe is running and start it when it isn't.

If you want to back something up, it will be the epg123.cfg file in c:\programdata\garyan2\epg123.

Steps to transition to using HDHR2MXF:

DVB-T2 transmissions didn't start until 2010 so I guess it was never baked in when WMC was created.

What batch file are you running? I've never heard of this kind of behavior, so I doubt anyone knows of a fix just yet.

You really need to investigate an alternate source of guide data. This is almost certainly not going to be fixed by Microsoft and in fact as they have announced, the data will be going away completely. I suggest you look into EPG123.

It usually takes 2-3 days for the lineup changes to show in the guide.

The quality of Gracenote (the source of data provided through Schedules Direct and used by EPG123) is much better when it comes to OAD in particular. Plus EPG123 has the ability to force the OAD to be the air date for shows that have the NEW flag in the source.

You can add an attachment to our post by going in to the Full Editor and clicking on the Upload attachment link which is on the first green bar under the input field.

When you run Tuner Setup, the EPG Guide is reset and rebuilt.

Most guide issues fix themselves, however many still look for the magic command.

Oh come on, rebuild your PC and stay with WMC!

You do realize TiVo = Rovi = Lousy guide data :-)

Run Tv Setup in WMC and try your neighboring Zip Code.

I have a dma2200 running on wifi with no problem. The key for me was running it off of a 5ghz router. The 2.4ghz was horrible, but 5ghz works great - there is a slight lag when selecting menus, but never any video dropouts.

Exactly, that is where I see the dish lineup in about guide (post #8). The only thing I've noticed that it complicates is when using WMC to assign guide data to channels, it now has hundreds of Dish channels listed that you have to wade through. If you really want to see old guide data you can use Remote Potato, it allows you to go back and see past days guide data, but I think only if the garbage collection that normally occurs every 5 days has not happened yet.

Yes, Rovi has always been bad with OAD for episodes that were initially scheduled for one date, but then actually air on another date, they rarely update the OAD to the new date. The Repeat flag is just added to an episode if it does not air within 7 days of the OAD.

No, it will not re-record it. A history of all previously recorded episodes is maintained by WMC along with the Series (in the database), so even if you delete the recording it will not re-record that same episode.

I had a problem a few weeks back where WMC wouldn't allow a certain channel to record. Turned out for some unknown reason the channel got flagged as copy never . Re-ran a channel scan using the HDHR setup utility and that cleared the flag, I was then able to record on that channel.

I'm not in VA, but in NYC and I've lost guide data too with the dreaded download failed message. I even rolled back to a known good point when updates worked and still nothing.
