The Harmony should work if you have the MCE IR Receiver for it to aim at. The IR Blaster takes your remote signal and transmits it via wired sensors to the cable box so it can change channels.

Just as a test, bypass the powerline by running an Ethernet from the HomeRun to the gig switch. Then max out the tuners and see if the problem goes away.

Does the TV you have Support Audio Return Channel (ARC) if not the owners manual for your receiver says to run a Optical Digital Cable as well as the HDMI cable.

Prime generally works better than Ceton, is faster tuning, DLNA capable and more trouble free. However, I use Ceton because it has 6 tuners, and I'm too cheap to pay for a second cable card. Requires a reboot every couple of months, but besides that is pretty solid. I have 2 Primes in my closet...

TV signal set up does not find channel 6 but does find 7. 6 is programming I want, 7 is not. I cannot add 6 because I have a digital input, so I am faking out WMC by saying 7 is really 6....

A better card will help with PQ, is it leaps and bounds, maybe, depending on the video your playing back. It also will take overhead off the CPU, resulting in over all better performance when playing a HD video. You DONT need a GTX TITAN or anything. A mid line card would do fine.

That's probably a good bet. The i3 gives you room to do more still and it's still a good low power chip. Although the pentium would likely be fine it's never bad to have a bit more power than what you require.

I've been using the ATI HD5450 since 2009 without issue.

You don't need to be so scrutinizing these days as they all support hardware accelleration. I would simply look for something fanless from a reputable maker in your favorite flavor of ATI or nVidia.

I did tinker with Live TV playback through Media Browser. I did it when it was first implemented though so it was a bit buggy then. I haven't tried again since.

Are you sure the contrast enhancement isn't in the Intel Graphics Control Panel? It should be there. I'm running an old version of the driver, so Intel may have moved it, but for me it's in the Video section, under Image Enhancements, then under Advanced.

As far as ID'ing MC metadata and play length, time played etc it works fine. That's what I use it for. Set for MC and forget.

HDD's are very subjective.. One person will recommend one brand etc, etc... All I can tell you is from my own experience.. So here it is. I like the Western Digital Black drives. They are just darn good drives I own 9 of them at the moment.

Just wanted to jump in on this thread and say I'm quite happy with mine, and am glad I came across this thread before buying.

So far, it's handling a 2250 card + USB (QAM + OTA) tuner setup just fine. No issues at all. Quiet. Cool. Smooth :)
