Hi, I am a Cox subscriber in Tucson, AZ and I'm planning on buying the Ceton card this week. What should I expect?
My setup:
Core2Quad Q6600 PC
Win7 (64bit)
3GB RAM
Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuner
nVidia DualTV (SD) tuner
Radeon HD 3400 video card
I've read a lot about people having various issues...

Thanks again! And I gotta say...this new forum is WAY better than what Microsoft did to the old site. I'm glad this exists.

Greetings all--
Got Dad's ceton installed & paired (Broadstripe Cable in Michigan- Not on SDV). I'm running into a problem & I don't know if it's MediaCenter, PlayReady, Ceton, or CableCO problem.
The problem is that all four tuners work great-- no problems with any of the digital channels; but,...

As a long time user of Media Center, we've gone through the transition from analog, clearQAM to CableCard with Comcast.
Comcast's plan is to stop broadcasting the analog channels, which is probably going to be true for all (or most) cable companies. In our area, Comcast is slowly turning off the...

So the Birthday Gods have smiled on me (received my present early and ordered my Ceton card). So now I have a query:
My HTPC sits beneath my HDTV in an enclosed wooden entertainment system. It's housed in an NMediaPC 200BA case (system specs to the left). While the case does fine at keeping my...

I actually ended up drilling a 5 hole in the back of the entertaintment center with a hole saw (1 MDF cabinet) and mounted a 120 mm fan exhausting warm air out of the entertainment center.
The case it self has a good air flow, but when enclosed in a poorly ventilated space it can only do so much,...

InfiniTV losing QAM lock after pairing
by
lurch66 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 3:38 am
I own a InfiniTV 4 and mine is working great. I have a friend however that is having some troubles. He has good signal at the back of the Ceton, +2 Dbmv and gets a QAM lock before the cable card is paired. When the cable tech pair's the cable card the Ceton loses QAM lock and never regaines it. The...

Hi,
With the price drop of the Ceton cards, I just built myself a new media center PC. Now that I have the one card working, I'm thinking its time to add a second quad tuner. I'm unsure if I have a good enough computer to handle 8 streams..

Yeah, I'm running HDMI from Computer to Onkyo A/V switcher. Thats a good idea, I never thought of perhaps running Video directly to tv, and audio optical to the AV receiver.. Something to try. As of right now, it seems my computer/tv times out after a while, even tho I set computer monitor to...

I just ordered a Ceton tuner to add to my system, which currently has a pair of HVR-2250s. I have them connected to my cable connection to get ClearQAM.
I have a nice external antenna that is currently dropped (I'm remodeling my house). I was considering not putting it back up, but was unsure if I...

is a two way amp required if you want to amplify your signl with a cablecard or will a standard one way amp work?
He didn't hook it up to an amp per se, supposedly just a splittler designed for Cablecards. I would think an amp might not be best to use unless you have a lot of line splits.

This is my first post to the new forum. This is definitely more friendly than the M$ site.
I am setting up a 7MC system for a friend that has TW. I have COX and my experience is only with them using the InfiniTV card. Has anyone setup the InfiniTV card with TW in the San Diego area? If so what I...

Thanks for the reply makryger. Based on what you are saying this install should be very similiar to my COX install. I currently have 2 CISCO TAs running on my setup at home. With COX it also required a truck roll, but the guys that came out had already setup other 7MC systems before so it was not...
