Hi Everyone,
To my understanding the latest Ceton Infinitv4 drivers detects more then 4 tuners, so the use of Tuner salad is no longer needed. However it seems every time I have my tuners detected, it says there's 8, but only 4 is usable, which I end up having to use Tuner Salad.

Did not notice it before, but definitly with the recent firmware it seems that the channelmap page

If you are using Tuning Adapters, you may want to disable the TA service for the ATI (I believe it's called OCUR SDV). Otherwise, there's nothing special you should need to do.
Do I re enable that service once the ceton is installed or will that happen automatically once the TA is hooked up?

Changing (or removing) just an InfiniTV should not break DRM. However, the DRM calculation does give a high weight to network cards (which includes the InfiniTV), so if you change other things at the same time, you may run into difficulty.

I have the infinitv 4 pci-e card. It has been working fine under fairly old firmware. I decided to install network tuners to see if I could get that to work. I recently added a Ceton InfiniTV card to my desktop, to explore the idea of building an HTPC and to enjoy TV on the second monitor. However, the card is not receiving an IP address. It keeps getting a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address. I can successfully bridge the connections, at which time it receives...

One more note. I have tried assigning a static IP of 192.168.200.1 to my card, and when I do Windows says that duplicate IPs are not allowed. But I do not have anything on that IP. I cannot ping that address.
It sounds like you were confused on the IP addressing. The card itself has the IP...

^^ Not necessarily true. Problems can and do get solved on this forum without creating a ticket with a manufacturer.
It really depends on the specifics to the issue at hand. Posting here (or indeed searching for your issue here or the 'other' places) is the first step I would propose.

Your hardware upgrade had nothing to do with the copy protection flags. Yes, Verizon recently notified customers that they will start using the copy-once flag on some premium channels such as HBO.

I have one Ceton card installed and it works great with a tuning adapter, multistream cable card through tw. Of course, now that I have 4 tuners I want 8. I don't want to add another internal adapter because of possible heat problems.

I've attached obscene amounts (~6) of InfiniTVs to the same machine. Any combination of USB and PCIe that you would like will work fine. You will need one TA per InfiniTV though. Also make sure to upgrade to the latest Ceton drivers so all 8 tuners will be enabled

Looked for a forum, request area at cetoncorp.com but didn't see anything so I thought I'd try posting here.

It would be great if Ceton could move the Ceton Tile...

Thanks for the feedback, but the Ceton application isn't really a task , so I'm inclined to say extras is a more appropriate place for it. I'll mention it, but I don't think it'll give moved at this point in time.

I don't remember offhand if Suddenlink uses Motorola or Cisco CableCARDs - if it's Motorola, double-check the DATA # with what the rep has. Certain commands will cause the card to generate a new DATA #.
