Hi all,
Just a quick post to see if any of our members are willing / able to make a small donation to help cover our running costs?
I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Hi, there is no suggested donation amount - any amount is much appreciated
Thank you to everybody that has donated

How do I handle cable channel lineup changes with ceton

Comcast here in Portland Oregon has made a handful of lineup changes, and added a few new channel numbers. in the past with my OTA/QAM tuners i would just rescan for the signal and add or change the channels. Now with my Ceton I don't see a way to make the changes. I have downloaded the current...

Ceton card pairing failing

Last week Comcast detected a signal leak so they reduced my signal until the signal leak could be repaired. Once they did this I lost my OOB lock and my pairing. The next day I had them come out to repair the leak and they bumped my signal back up, but we could not get the OOB lock to occur. Hed...

It is my understanding that the InfiniTV comes with an amplifier onboard to compensate for the signal loss associated with splitting the signal 4 ways.
That is correct

Ceton (PCIe) warm reboot = "bad CableCard" error

Has anyone seen this before? I've used this card successfully with both TWC and Suddenlink (I'm on Suddenlink now). At some point in time, not sure if it correlates to the latest firmware, I started getting the following behavior:
A cold power-on yields a perfectly functioning CableCard and tuner....
Last post
I don't remember offhand if Suddenlink uses Motorola or Cisco CableCARDs - if it's Motorola, double-check the DATA # with what the rep has. Certain commands will cause the card to generate a new DATA #.
Beyond that, I'd recommend opening a support ticket with Ceton.

Nice!
Now if only they could start to manufacture the InfiniTV6 PCIe. I could do with 2 more tuners, and have no room for another InfiniTV4.
Jeremy! Hear my calls!!!!
What, you mean you don't all have 6-tuner InfiniTV's cards yet?

I have version 1.0.3.2, which my Ceton diagnostic tool says is up to date. However, the page lists 4 more recent versions. Are ALL of these beta versions?
I'm having a few small issues and would like to try a newer firmware than 1.0.3.2, do I need to join the beta program?
Thanks,
Tony

Hard to give an accurate subject line so bare with me! :)
Have two Cetons with Mot TAs, each in a separate PC. One Ceton PC (the master HTPC with the extenders & main TV) has a ceton that isn't network shared. The other Ceton PC (the WHS server that's serving tuners to the kids PCs & my laptop)...

Just wanted to give an update:
Asked (and got) my 2nd Ceton added to the beta. The latest beta fw & drivers added extra fixes specifically for this problem.
After having it installed for almost two weeks now, I haven't lost a TA lock on the correct Tuner one time. Very happy.

Greetings all--
Got Dad's ceton installed & paired (Broadstripe Cable in Michigan- Not on SDV). I'm running into a problem & I don't know if it's MediaCenter, PlayReady, Ceton, or CableCO problem.
The problem is that all four tuners work great-- no problems with any of the digital channels; but,...

As a long time user of Media Center, we've gone through the transition from analog, clearQAM to CableCard with Comcast.
Comcast's plan is to stop broadcasting the analog channels, which is probably going to be true for all (or most) cable companies. In our area, Comcast is slowly turning off the...

I actually ended up drilling a 5 hole in the back of the entertaintment center with a hole saw (1 MDF cabinet) and mounted a 120 mm fan exhausting warm air out of the entertainment center.
The case it self has a good air flow, but when enclosed in a poorly ventilated space it can only do so much,...

is a two way amp required if you want to amplify your signl with a cablecard or will a standard one way amp work?
He didn't hook it up to an amp per se, supposedly just a splittler designed for Cablecards. I would think an amp might not be best to use unless you have a lot of line splits.
