First post
Hi all,
Just a quick post to see if any of our members are willing / able to make a small donation to help cover our running costs?
I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Hi, there is no suggested donation amount - any amount is much appreciated
Thank you to everybody that has donated

"Edit Sources" For Multiple Channels - Tool Available?

So my Ceton card thinks it is an analog tuner (well, really the guide for my cable company thinks the analog channels are digital) so I need to de-select the four Ceton tuners from my analog channels.
I can do this in Media Center by going to Settings > TV > Guide > Edit Channels and then...
Last post
It will let you delete the Ceton sources from each channel, but won't do the channels in bulk like you want.
For each channel you want to remove sources from, click the button that lists them in the Source Channels column from the Merged Lineups tab.
The source channel management form will pop up,...

Hey there,
I was referred by Wolf from tomshardware to come to this thread, and it looks exactly like what I'll need.
He already answered a few questions for me, but my biggest question is regarding how the shows are over the network.
I am running win7, my girlfriend vista. Both have WMC...

I split the thread. I was asked by a member and after consideration I gave it it's own topic.

How is native support for HD-PVR now in Media Center?

Well prices for the HD-PVR are looking much better down here in NZ finally. I was wondering if Hauppauge media center support for the HD-PVR has got to the point where it's broadly reliable? Is there any native Media Center support for Colossus at the moment? Anyone used a HDFury2 with HD-PRV? Our...
Last post
Evolution of native support for the HDPVR has seemed to have stalled. While there was a package released as late as last month, it appears to only add support for the colossus and not improve overall functionality. The base driver is still from June of 2010 (1.5.7.0), the IR blaster functionality...

Any one know if the haupauge colussus tuner will work on Shaw in Canada? (guess says shaw kinda says it in Canada but anyways)
Last post
Absolutely, ....Yes it will.
It will work with any set top box that outputs hdmi and/or component video. All of shaw's HD boxes have both those options.
Cheers

Why would I want a tuner card over HDHomerun?

Why would I want a tuner card, like the ceton, and have it tied to one machine when I could buy the SiliconDust HDHomerun (or 2). It seems to me that I could purchase the Homerun(s) would allow me to keep them in a closet without having to use a computer as a video server, per se. I guess...

If your cable company uses SDV, then you need a TA. The HDHR prime has a usb port to connect the TA directly to it (2 for the six tuner version), so not only is the tuner in the other room or closet, but the TA is too. With the Ceton card, don't you have to use one of the usb ports on the PC? If...

Hi,
anyone know how to get the latest transponder details applied on a dreambox? I tried to research this a couple of weeks back, but didn't manage to get very far with it, so if anyone has any experience of it, that would be great!
Thanks
Tony

Does anyone know if this can be used in 7MC just as the HDHomerun does?
Last post
If I remember correctly, while it does have a PC viewing app, it is not compatible with 7MC. I think the main thing they tout is streaming to your iOS devices.

There were similar posts on the old green button, but not only did I never find a solution, but my dilemma has changed slightly.
Here we go.
I have a dual dvb-t card, and dvb-s card and a dvb-s2 card. I couldn't get WMC to pick up dvb-s2 channels since getting that card, last night I did a clean...

Thanks guys, it kind of worked.
I let it auto setup without the dvb-s card. All good. access freeview and freesat and can add the dvb-s2 channels.
went to add the other dvb-s card and it got rid of the dvb-t. added the dvb-t and it cleared the satellite.
So now, having read holidayboys post...
