I had to reinstall WMC 8.8.5 after updating Win11, and now the Date/Time on all of my WTV recordings is the ORIGINAL BROADCAST time/date, not when I recorded it.

This is annoying when I sort in Explorer looking for my most recently recorded episodes showing dates from 30+ years ago.

I use EPG123...

I have tried scouring the net and got .sys files without valid signatures and ehome cab files which won't install.

There must be somewhere where I can download the original Microsoft eHome Tranceiver software ???

I had to Reinstall Windows 11 to get Windows Update to work again. But as a result, WMC stopped working (natch).

I tried to reinstall but it tells me it's already installed.

Is there a simple fix, or must I uninstall/reinstall again? (I have v8.8.5. Is there a newer version?)

Had this error today: Unhandled exception caught from epg123Client.exe. message: Access to the path 'Global\EPG123Indexing' is denied.

Deleted scheduled task (in task scheduler), attempted to recreate task in EPG, get unhandled exception has occurred...

Another similar PC with phenom II x4 955 and a GT730 is instant to switch full screen and back to windowed.
Behavior was same when using an Nvidia gtx260 video card
Same memory amount. Same SSD drive.
When WMC is windowed, you can drag the size big or small...

Just thought I'd let everyone know that WMC v8.9.1 is still working great after updating to Win11 23H2, in case anyone was on the fence to update. :thumbup:

Sound when watching TV, there is no sound. Volume is all the way up
I am connected by HDMI to an HDTV
All windows 11 sound tests work. I downloads a Microsoft store game an it plays sound.
sound is set to s/pdif and there is no other selection possible in windows.
I reinstalled Nvidia driver...

I forget what exactly changed, but a couple of weeks ago, every time I launched WMC in Live TV mode, I get the message (in WMC) Tuner in use with a Cancel button that lets me go to the menu to open Live TV .

Does anyone have any idea why & how to fix? Very annoying.

I have today installed the latest version of WMC (I assume 8.8.4) on Windows 11. As the post subject the programmes displayed in Recorded TV are shown large icons, which I don’t like at all. Hopefully there is a simple way to set it back vertical list?

I have a strange problem: WMC do not detect any TV channels from room antenna.
My TV tuner is Hauppauge HVR-5525. It is connected to cable TV STB (by Composite) and to indoor antenna. In my region (I'm living in Warsaw, Poland) previously were both DVB-T and DVB-T2 standard channels available....

I've been hoping off updating my Win7 NUC, but less and less software is supported. It's probably time to update to something newer. Any support for cablecards in a Win11 install? If not, what is the latest version of Win10 that still supports cablecards?

Hello, when i reboot my media center work well. i can close mediaccenter and push greenbutton on media center controller everything work well. but if i wait 2-3 minutes green button work only when media center is launch.
