Not sure, but I think PotPlayer would be worth a try. It also has pretty good remote config tools. It would not run inside WMC or Emby (I don't know what EMC is).

EMC = Emby for WMC or Emby Windows Media Center Classic..

So, you cannot set the EMC Configurator to load PotPlayer for mkv's with 3D tagging in the file name?

Are you using it? Do you have a link to setting it up for using a remote? I looked at the PotPlayer Forum and didn't see any mention of it.

I've used it in the past with a remote. As I recall, there is a place to map keystrokes to functions. You just have to know what keyboard equivalents MCE sends. I don't know off the top of my head, but I think I found a cross reference on some XBMC wiki. I know that's not a lot to go on, but I'm pretty much out of the HTPC game now. If I remember or dig up anything else, I'll post it.

Following up. I think you could use something like this, then do matching mapping on the PotPlayer side. Back when I did it, I didn't have to change much to get it to work, possibly just the ffwd/rew functions.

There was another thread about using a remote with PotPlayer on this board not too long ago. That user had pretty good success too.
