WMC Crashes After PC Rebooted

I use one Windows 7 PC to record TV with my HDHomeRun Prime.
Been doing this for years.

For months now (maybe years) every time I reboot the PC (like for MS updates) WMC freezes up with the blue wheel.
Completely unresponsive. Finally I kill it with the Task Manager.

I can recover by uninstalling WMC (using Add/Remove Programs) rebooting and then reinstalling.
Fortunately it remembers everything except where to store the recordings.
Fortunately it does not require a reboot upon installation!!!

So long as the PC remains on everything is fine......

Is there a fix for this so I can reboot the PC and WMC continues working?
I have 10 PC's and this is the only program that does not work after reboot!!!
