Hi All

After installing Emby on WMC I'm wondering what codecs everyone is installing to be able to play movies ?

Is there a pack I can install without fear of malware or viruses ?

I recommend LAV Filters. I know some prefer codec packs but after reading years of issues with them, I am not one of them.

I use AC3Filter and Haali Media Splitter, no codecs required.

Sharks Codec Advanced -> Suggested Settings -> Then override everything to LAV

When installing Sharks, pay attention to menus so that "unneeded/unnecessary" software is not installed.
