I just read this post on the Silicon Dust forum:
http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewto ... 41&t=18301
It states that the Omega drivers may fix the 29/59 bug on AMD graphics cards (even older ones).
Has anyone else tried these drivers and tested that it fixes the bug?
I have an older card (Radeon HD 6570) and am running older Catalyst 13.1 drivers.
I've noticed that the 29/59 bug seems to less prevalent then it has in the past, but it still rears it's ugly head from time to time.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade to the latest Omega drivers and if it would really fix the problem.
Thanks.

It is certainly possible that the higher efficiency of that driver may eliminate the stuttering that is observed on some GPUs, but it definitely won't magically fix any incorrectly flagged pictures in the content.

I had the 29/59 bug on older programs & added an HD6450 video card. In my case I guess you might call it the 59/29 bug according to 411 info. The card didn't fix it, until I updated the driver to vers 8.982 from the MSI website. FWIW here's what I'm using.
Catalyst Version: 11.4
Catalyst Control Center Version: 2102.0806.1213.19931
Now I'm confused as to why there is a Catalyst Vers and also a Catalyst Control Center Version Vers. It always seemed like the two terms were used interchangeably. But I guess not.

I'm running Omega drivers (14.12) on a Radeon HD 8400 that's built into my Athlon 5350 running Windows 7 x64. All of my video processing features are off, deinterlacer is set to Vector Adaptive, and "Enforce smooth video playback" is on. I definitely get stutters most times the content switches back and forth between 29 and 59.

I run the 2011 April (11-4) version, No Catalyst or Hydro installed (just the driver only) on my HD6770. This driver works well with my Asus M4A-78Pro MB. So well that I have zero 29/59 complaints. As a matter of fact, it's been a long time since I have had any complaints.
