TV Show Reminders [to watch, not record]
Hi guys,
I've been using media center for a long time but there's been one feature I've always missed from when I used to use Foxtel here in Australia, and that's tv show reminders.
Basically, when you are going through the guide you can choose to either record or remind when the show is about to start. This way you can watch the show instead of it recording in the background without a reminder that it is actually happening.
It is very useful if for example you want to watch something that is live and want to be reminded it is starting. Is there any plugins available that do this?
I have had a good look around and can't seem to find anything. Closest I found was a reminder app that lets you set reminders, but it does not tie into the EPG at all.
Maybe some skillful scripters out there can write something up?
Thanks for your help. Haven't ever had to make an account here because most my questions are usually covered, so I'm no noob but I had to ask this question.
Cheers.

Around here, the networks have a setup that will email you when a show is about to come on. It gives about a half hour's notice.

Let's throw in Thumbs while we're at it
I love how TiVo roots things out for you, sometimes quite obscure, that it thinks you'll like that you'd never even contemplate, yet really enjoy.
