I have only got this message twice. The first time I saw it was for the HBO Concert For Valor. I am getting this message again tonight when trying to watch a recording or a live feed of the American Music Awards.
The full message is this:
Your digital cable service or Windows must be activated before you can view this content. To activate your digital cable device open WMC etc....
Why does this happen for certain shows and what do I do. I don't want to mess up any current settings I have or loose my cable. I am running a Verizon Fios cable card in an Hd homerun prime.

Ok I just stopped the recording and went to the guide. Was able to see the last part of the show live and I hit record from the there. That portion recorded and is viewable.
Not sure why the initial recording isn't working.
Any suggestions?

How many HTPC's do you have. You have to run the Active Digital Cable task on each HTPC for DMR channels to work on each PC.
Look under Tasks>TV>TV Signal>Activate Digital Cable
