Missing add channel options

I posted this on the microsoft website last night and they suggested I post it here !!

Is there any way to add in Media Centre individual channel information - when a scan fails to find channels and the guide will not download then it seems I'm stuffed.
I can see the channels OK on a TV connected to the same aerial in Paris.

(bit of luck in spain - very high hotel room floor facing a tv tower so mini stick aerial worked)

I have windows 7 enterprise running on a dell latitude e7440 laptop with an August DVB-T210 (version 2.0) tuner connected via usb. This is a HD DVB-T and DVB-T2 compliant receiver.
I used this last week in Barcelona, Spain using the supplied stick antenna - however I was 25 floors up and facing the TV tower about 2 miles away from me.
this week i am in Paris with an external aerial
media centre finds 4 channels only when it scans although on the standard tv there are many more. the zip code here in paris is 93290.
I do not have the option to add channels manually - it just doesn't exist in the menu under Guide.
Also the download guide does not work - I do have internet access as I am typing this into the forum
all i want is the ability to manually add channels
any ideas ?
