W7MC all recorded TV unplayable

Windows 7 media center all of my recorded TV thumbnails lost the image now only text is displayed like title name and synopsis.

None of the recorded TV shows will play all I see is the status circle continue to spin.

I’ve tried a few restore points still won’t play, the last time I tried the restore point it just stays at shutting down and it never shuts down so I physically shut down then restart at desktop message reads restore point was succsessfull must restart.

when I start MC the recorded TV thumbnails reappear then start to dissappear.

next thing that happens is MC rereconizes the silicon dust HR tuner that I unplugged and want to set it up so I set it up dreadfully long process, back to desktop PC wants to restart again it will just stay at shutting down and never actualley shut down untill I phsyically hold the on/off button down.

Please Any advice

update after trying to play some older recorded TV some of the thumbnails images have reappeared and actualley play.

I have 4 storage HDD and a C:/ all are reconized in my computer.

when I use western digital SMART to diagianoise the drives the E:/ is'nt even listed
the E:/ is the daily record watch delete drive and it's these TN that don't play.
has this E:/ failed it's a new drive to my sys.

I would expect that drive has corrupted or failed in some way.

Was the content copyright protected?

Were there OS, or any hardware changes made to the machine that originally recorded them?
