It's a bit interesting that they don't have a DAC/other CA equipment there - they seem to just be demoing the encoders. Still interesting, though.

I do like the compression gizmo. Throw those TA's away!

Could be good for possible future additional HD channels on Freeview / Freesat :)

Whether Media Center will be able to play the streams nicely remains to be seen of course.....!

Actually I have to come clean: This is just a snippet of what's in erkotz' basement. Just a play thing for the weekends I'm told....

I think this is probably a euro conference, but most of that equipment doesn't care if it's in the US or Europe.

You laugh, but that's not too far from the truth. There is a TON of equipment in my house. Latest project has been programming an RTI processor and remotes to control all my gear and getting two-way control working. Somehow that was a result of scope-creep from hanging my TV on the wall (which required purchase of a new TV, and I *STILL* haven't actually hung it)
