Netflix in WMC removed?

Hi!

All of a sudden, netflix icon disappeared on both our WMC computers.

I have spent like 3 hours trying to update using all known solutions

Making sure that:

MCE.GlobalSettings:

systemGeoID=224
systemGeoISO2 =US

Have executed mceupdate.exe -uf -dbgs and I can see that it is downloading LOTS of stuff:

But no matter what I try, the netflix icon will not show up next to movies, like it always has.

Has anyone else experienced this problem recently, and how did you solve it?

I remember when I first tried to add netflix when we got that service in sweden, it was very easy, just set the above settings, run an update and then it appeared and installed. Then I had to run unotelly to make the movies play, but to get the icon to appear, was very easy.

It is interesting, lots of stuff is downloaded, but NOTHING appear in extras, or anywhere else for that matter. Has MS removed all extra content, even for US citizens? I know they scrapped ITV and Sports, but everyting?

Please help me, the natives here at home are getting very restless, WMC Is our primary source of entertainment, and the netflix app is being used many hours/day

Some updates:

I have tested every trick in the book, I even managed to find some old posts by myself, and according to then, to make WMC appear, all I had to do was to set the above registry settings + location to United States in Windows control panel. Then after an mceupdate -uf it should appear. I didn't even have to use a dns service for that, that was only to make the playback work.

I even tested by removing the media center database, and reinstall all channels + recordings again, but still NO Netflix.

I am curious, do I ahve to have a tuner installed for netflix to appear? My guess is NO, since it sounds really wierd. I noticed that without a tuner, the zip code and location in the registry was null, so I just set those values manually.

The second clean install I tested this with, I don't have a tuner installed, but that should not be needed either, because if memory serves me right, I did the original tests using an old laptop we had, and that didn't have a tuner either, and there I managed to get netflix icon to show up easilly.

Anyone that have an idea?

Hi!

I finally managed to get netflix to appear again, but I had to reinstall WMC completly. I have no idea what happened. I tried your package then and it worked. I guess there must have been an inssue with the guide updates that for some reasons caused these problems... good news is that netflix is still up and running
