Windows 7 LiveTV Record Button disappears when resize window

Does anyone know how to keep the red Record Button on the Playback Control Bar at the bottom of the Media Center window when using Live TV and resizing to a smaller window like MCE 2005, Vista MCE and Vista with TV Pack 2008?

Instead the Record Button in W7 is replaced by the Stop Button when a smaller window is used. The Record Button is present during Full Screen and about 3/4 Full Screen, but then it disappears after that and only shows the Stop button.

Is there a way to use RegEdit to keep the Record button available on the Playback Control Bar or replace the Stop Button with the Record Button when you make the Live TV window smaller?

This appears to be a feature of W7 MCE that has bothered me since I used it.
