I got a new hard drive and need to move around some stuff. I actually have two questions.
1 - As long as it's the same machine, moving where my recordings go won't make a difference as far as protection goes will it?
2 - Some of the movies and such I've been trying to move say they can't because they are in use. I'm not sure if that's because of WMC or maybe Mediabrowser accessing them in the background for something. Would I just kill all the services in task manager then move them? Any specific ones?
Thanks for any info!

1. No. In fact, you can move the files to a different machine if you like, but they can only be played on the machine that made them (assuming we're talking about copy protected recordings...copy freely recordings have no restrictions).
2. If you stop whatever process(es) are using the files, you will be able to move them. A good utility to see what process is locking a file is LockHunter.
