Ceton USB Data ID changes if powercycled
My Card is getting a new DATA ID after ihe USB Tuner is powercyled. I opened a ticket. Is there anyone else with a similar problem?

This has been reported on other devices besides the Ceton. Seems to be something with the Moto Card security system. If the card is paired they continue to work, if you have to "re-pair" the card then you have to make sure that the support Tech knows to input all the numbers.amador wrote:My Card is getting a new DATA ID after ihe USB Tuner is powercyled. Probably a problem for Moto (Asus?) to deal with.

I had to repair 3 times in the last week cause of dataid changes. I have a Pci Ceton first generation and no issues.
i give them the host, data, and serial number to pair card. Is there something else I need to give them.

Sounds like a problem with the cable card. I've disconnected power from my usb infinitv without issue.

I replaced cable card last week. Thinking that was the issue but same problem with new cablecard.

This should not happen. This type of issue is most likely going to require 1:1 troubleshooting, and I recommend that you open a ticket with our support team at http://www.cetoncorp.com/support/amador wrote:My Card is getting a new DATA ID after ihe USB Tuner is powercyled. Update looks like my device is bad and out of warranty. Ceton did offer discounted deals on other tuner. Don't know if I should pull the trigger on their offer or go with a Prime.
