Cannot ping 360; 360 can see HTPC, but not connect to WMC

Goal: I want to use Xbox 360 as a media extender

Problem(s):
  • I cannot ping the Xbox 360 from my HTPC
  • I cannot even ping the Xbox 360 directly from my router
  • The WMC app on the Xbox 360 says it can't find the WMC PC
Things I've already tried:
  • Soft resetting the router
  • Power cycling the HTPC and Xbox 360
  • Putting the Xbox in a DMZ
  • Punching a dolphin
  • Adding an exception for the Xbox's IP address in Windows Firewall
  • Switching out ethernet cables
  • There is no anti-virus to disable except Windows Defender
Other things that make this weird:
  • It initially setup without issue and worked flawlessly.
  • The only thing that happened between when I set it up and when it stopped working was 17 minutes of time. No power cycles. No network switches. No nothing. I walked away for 17 minutes, came back, and it was crapping the bed.
  • The router shows the Xbox 360's IP address in the device table, successfully assigns it an IP address, and then cannot even ping it.
  • If you run the PC connection test from the Xbox 360, it detects my HTPC right away. It's only when you run the WMC connection test that it says it can't find the PC.
  • If you go into the control panel on the HTPC, you can see the Xbox 360 on the network.

HTPC: Windows 7 x64 with Windows Media Center
Xbox 360: Latest generation, black, 4GB version
Network: Both are hard wired into a Linksys E4200 router, running Tomato v1.28 firmware
Frustration Level: 11 :x

This is the electronic networking equivalent of standing in a room, seeing someone, acknowledging that you see them, filling out a name tag for them, and then acting like you are unable to speak or communicate with one another in any manner.
