Mr. Kotz... I have sent one diag of NBC yesterday. Today I will send CBS and ABC along with FOX (which works by the way) The thing to keep in mind here is that ALL shows on these channels have the issue except FOX and it all started on Monday. Thank You for chasing this issue.

Is anyone hitting this who is not in Columbus? So far 4 people have gotten me diagnostics and all have been in the Columbus area (3 on TWC, one on Insight)

My HDHomeRun Prime is showing CGMS Protection. I'm on Insight in Columbus.

Erkotz, I think the problem is twc in Columbus, or the local Columbus affiliates. NBC has not responded to my complaint, neither corporate or local, twc is blaming either NBC or ceton, depending on who you talk to.

That settles it then... Twc Columbus is the culprit.

This is unlikely to be TWC's fault as it also happens on Insight. I'll be giving the station a call tomorrow.

Adam: what tuner are you recording it with, and is it encrypted or clearQAM?

TWC owns Insight so maybe TWC's change trickled down to Insight. I also have Insight in the columbus area and seeing Copy Never through my InfiniTV for NBC HD(906)

I have the same problem with TWC and my SiliconDust HDPrime cable card system. I cannot record NBC Nightly News on my WMC PC. I can, however, record Nightly News on a second WMC PC and an OTA tuner. When I tried to force the HDPrime system to record the news today, WMC reported the show could not be tuned because copying was not allowed.

BBLUE is correct, TWC took over Insight last year some time and it would make sense that BOTH are having the same issues.

Tonight, CBS AND ABC joined in the fun...so, now I can't record NBC, CBS or ABC. If TWC/Insight doesn't fix this soon, WOW might have a new customer...even if it's a lateral move for me.

InfiniTV 4, over cableCARD.

Would be happy to test this using InfiniTV 6, for completeness.

I just checked; tonight's recordings were Person of Interest and Glee and Big Bang, so CBS and Fox are recording.

And I just hit "record" for The Tonight Show, the last 12 minutes of it, and it's now busy recording.

I'm still not able to record NBC this morning...errored out trying to record the Today Show.

I'm on Insight in Columbus, OH using InfiniTV 4 with CableCARD - thought I'd add that so people didn't have to go back through the thread and look for it :).

barnabas1969 wrote:I missed Revolution on the 22nd also, but I checked the history in Media Center, and it didn't even show that it attempted to record it. My local stations are setup to use my two OTA (ATSC) tuners as first priority, so it is most likely that my system would have attempted to use the ATSC tuners and not the CableCARD tuner.

Are you sure that Revolution aired on the 22nd?
If you were like me it didn't record because it was re-aired from the previous week. The previous week's scheduled recording was bumped for news coverage of the Boston bomber stuff. I have Cox Cable and have not had any recording issues outside of the noted episode of Revolution (which wasn't anyone's fault -- other than mine for not catching it).

Ok after thinking about some previous posts where someone says their TWC DVR works but MCE doesn't I have some questions...
The TWC DVR's are Cisco and guess what? They have an "M" card inside them. If this problem is specific to CableCARDS, how is it possible the TWC DVR's work but MCE doesnt? So here are the facts...

We know HD Homerun Prime has the issue
We know Ceton has the issue
This only happens in Columbus, OH market (TWC and Insight which is TWC)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TWC DVR Does not have the issue (allegedly)
OTA Does not have the issue

Anyone have this happening on an ATI Tuner?

Seems like 1 of two things is going on...

Either Ceton and Silicon dust both missed something in the Cable Labs certification and they both have firmware bugs around copy protection (doubtful)
or
This is a Microsoft MCE bug that only affects OCUR Tuners(very likely)

Let's hope it isn't Microsoft because it will NEVER get fixed!!!

Thoughts everyone?
