TBS 6981 issues
Just got my TBS6981 and it seems to break up/pixelate/audio stutter on the HD channels like channel 4.
I tried it with an Ati 5450 and a nvidia 8800gt but seems to do it with both cards
has anyone encountered this problem?
Also when scanning for channels it picked up channel 4 HD but BBC HD was in the list but said no signal

I've got that TBS card and I can tell you it needed an update to make it run smooth on HD channels. Trouble is I can't remember where I got this update or what it was called! I think it was actually an update produced by a different manufacturer entirely, like Hauppauge or similar?
I will do some digging, see if I can find the file.
EDIT: I remember now after doing a quick search, the update patch is only if WMC doesn't pick up the card as a DVB-S2 card capable of scanning for the likes of BBC, C4 and ITV HD channels etc. As you obviously have HD channels, that isn't your problem!
There is a newer driver on the TBS website that I installed which works good for me. It seems to be a little slower in changing from SD to HD channels, but that is deliberate to give the card time to tune properly I think? It seems to do the trick for me anyhow. You can find driver 2.0.0.19 here: http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/Download.html
ATI/AMD Graphic Cards are also known to give problems so it is also worth looking for an updated graphic card driver too. I hope you get it sorted, my card is working great especially since I ran a new shotgun cable from dish to pc for the dual tuner!

Just to mention I have had my TBS 6981 (dual) for 1 week now and it has been perfect so far. All HD channels are great.

Lee's right
Bought, installed, had few problems, installed in new pc, worked fine until i went to screw in a new feed and the connector attached to the card got wobbly. Amazon in process of refunding. Not sure i will get another now the missus has found out i bought a new gadget somewhat 'quietly' when a holiday is being budgeted for.
