Did you know you could help translate the companion?

We are always looking to expand the user base of the Ceton Companion. We have an open project housing translations for WP7, Android, and Companion Services that if you so desire and speak foreign languages could help in translating:

http://crowdin.net/project/ceton-companion

Usually it is as simple as accepting the Bing Translate option, if you have any questions on context feel free to ask me.

We are also looking into adding on iOS in there soon as well.

I'll ask my wife if she's willing to spend the time to translate it to Romanian.

My old co-workers form Timisoara helped me translate my other app http://crowdin.net/project/tasks-simplified into Romanian

I really want to go back to visit sometime. I spent 5 months over there last year, was amazing.

Before working for Ceton I worked for Canon (Océ to be specific) where I was a team lead and scrum master on Wide Format printer software for reprographers. I worked at an office in Phoenix, but we shared the project with a team in Timisoara so I was sent over there to train them on the code base and on our agile processes.

Cool. I haven't been to Romania yet. We've had her family here a few times, but we haven't made it there yet. My wife doesn't get any paid time off from her job, and I've been unable to convince her to just take unpaid leave.

Any ETA on the iOS files yet? And can you also give an ETA on when (and how) translations that are submitted are approved and included in for example the Companion service, does that require a compilation and release or can language files be added in the folder structure and somehow activated/selected?

Thanks,

Danee

My wife said that she would be happy to translate it. I'll try to get her working on it this weekend.

@Danee, I am going to have your translations in the installer to test for the next build. Will email you a private copy to test out if you want. Hopefully today. As far as iOS I will do my best to get them over in the next week. I want to get out an update first so I don't break anything :) luckily crowdin is a nice tool and they will have a lot of duplication between the other projects so hopefully I just upload an only a few need to be translated.

@barnabas :) awesome yay
