Hollywood fallacy - you're more likely to get a decent echo at the
bottom of a mountain (where the cliffs are, for the sound to bounce off!!)

If you really yell loud enough i suppose you could get a bounce off another mountain miles and miles away, but then again you'd probably be deaf from the original yell that you wouldn't hear the echo anyway... That's a conundrum...
