Unexpected Termination

Since last night (9/9/2023) when epg123 runs it terminates unexpectedly in the routine "GetAllMoviesPosters". Epg123 does not throw an error of any kind. It just stops. There are no error messages in the trace log. There were some warning messages from the "BuildAllProgramEntries" routine regarding missing Md5 hash. See end of trace log below for last run. I'm on epg123 version 1.8.2.2. I went to the TMDB API support forum and it looks like others are also having problems.

I don't see how this could be a TMDB issue looking at the code. It wouldn't cause a program exception. This may be related to program MD5 entries we're getting from SD. What lineup are you using and I will try to recreate and verify.

I think you may be right Gary. I have two lineups. The OTA lineup is working OK. The cable lineup is the one that is failing. It is "USA-WA46544-X". I Just tried to run the failing lineup again and got the same result except with a larger number of missing Md5 hash warning messages.

Not related to MD5 either, though probably an indication of what is going on with the SD server. When searching TMDB for a movie poster it uses the title of the movie, but according to SD the program/movie does not exist, so the title is null.

Both the MD5 problem and the exception for TMDB are due to the same thing. SD is not providing any data for those programs so there is no MD5 or Title.

I tried running that lineup again and it is still broken. Should I open a ticket with SD regarding this issue?

I've had the same or similar problems the last two days. Initiating a Save and Exit from the Configurator stalls at "Downloading | 7/13 Build movie posters..." It will hang in that state until the next run of the scheduled task. There is an error in the trace.log. Here is the relevant section from the scheduled task earlier this morning:

I had the same problem after I installed 1.8.2.2. Dies with no notice in the loading Movie Posters step. Went back to 1.8.1.8 and it completed successfully.

Apparently SD did something to resolve this issue. Epg123 (Version 1.8.2.2) just ran to completion successfully.

Thanks for the link.

I tried a manual update, but got a few Bad Gateway errors on the SD end. It didn't hang at 7/13 Build movie posters, and made it to the end, so that's something, but still problems generating the MXF file. Reckon they're still ironing some bugs out, or we're just swamping their poor servers now

The latter, I'd guess. Updated clean for me w/ latest (beta). Originally saw the WARNINGS, but never got any "Unexpected Terminations".

Same for me - reinstalled 1.8.2.2 and Epg123 ran to completion successfully for me as well (did not end abruptly during movie poster updates).
