Backstory -
I was running version 1.8.0.9 and noticed that the last 2 days of my guide (July 22 and 23) have various empty entries on various channels. (Not "No data". Just an empty slot on some programming slots, while adjacent time slots have programming info. I got a screen shot of the WMC guide, but I don't know how to insert it into this message.)

My SchedulesDirect subscription is up to date. This prompted me to download 1.8.011, and when installing, I got the error "The MXF file imported is 30,744.34 hours old". The Guide slots that are empty are still empty - I don't know if this is a symptom of the MXF error, or if it's another issue altogether.

Would appreciate help. Thanks!!

If I had to guess, the MXF file that is being created is not the same one that is being loaded in to WMC. You can see that the date/time on the one that is being loaded is 1/9/2020 12:07:08AM. This is most likely because you installed a version of EPG123 in the past in one place and then another version in another place and didn't update the task to load from the new location.

You can probably fix this by deleting your scheduled task, and then recreating it using the EPG123 config GUI. While you're at it, before recreating the task, change the time that the task runs to something other than midnight (00:00) as this is probably the most busy time for updating the guide (and may be why it is taking 20 minutes to update). I'd change it so that the minutes are something like "22" or "48", just make it an odd time that is less likely that many others have picked, like "4:22".

According to the log, you were not running 1.8.0.11, but doesn't matter in this case.

Space is right and you need to delete your task and create a new one. You are importing c:\epg123\epg123.mxf but should be importing c:\epg123\output\epg123.mxf. I stopped automatically correcting the location change that happened a long time ago. I would give warnings that the location was not correct, but I can't force anyone to pay attention to those warnings.

Thanks, Space and Gary.

I deleted the scheduled task and recreated another one. Oddly, the "Scheduled update time" is grayed out, so I can't specify a different time. After executing it, the previous randomly blanked out programmed slots (on July 22, 23) are now populated. :)

In the trace log, the last 2 lines says "[INFO] file "C:\epg123\notifier.jason" does not exist", but no "ERROR". Not sure if the missing .jason file needs to be addressed or not?

Oh, the EPG that's running is 1.8.0.11 now.

Nothing needed to do for the missing notifier.json file. That file is only created/used if you setup email notifications or recorder storage limits.

If you delete the task, the scheduled update time should become available to change, only after changing the time do you then recreate the task. If the update time remained greyed out after you deleted the task, then maybe there is a bug? Perhaps delete the task, then exit EPG123 and restart it and see if it is still greyed out?

Aha, Space, you got it!
The time is to be changed BEFORE creating the newly scheduled task, not afterwards. I have rescheduled to a non-conventional time other than midnight as you suggested. Thanks very much!
