WMC Recorded TV Schedule gone "wonky"

Sunday night, like many, I experienced an EPG123 SD failure related to SD itself. At the exact same time I was setting up a manual recording, apparently. EPG 123's/SD guide is now back, but the Scheduled Programs area is not right as when I go to a scheduled show and select "Do Not Record" or do much else there, the whole thing freezes...no exit to previous screen and no getting back to the desktop,i.e. hard reboot of the PC is all that works. There is apparently a repair function in the WMC program itself, but I don't dare run it unless I hear from someone who has done so. Anyone experienced on this or have a better idea?

As of this evening all seems to be back to normal as I was able to run the functions with no freeze ups. Hope I did not waste anyone's time.
