Cannot configure EPG123

I have been trying to get this system working over the weekend, I almost had it yesterday, and was able to retrieve a partial guide listing (not of all the channels.)

I just started again, from scratch, and I don't even get the lineup in the client.

Your help is much appreciated!

Your connection to SD is getting closed before it can download the data. Looks to be around 20 seconds. Epg123 won't timeout until 3 minutes has elapsed. Are you behind a VPN or something?

The "Upodate Progress" box seems to snag at:

... before it ends without any notification.

In Step 2, I do note an interesting message:

"It appears there are 24 tuners available for use but only 6 of them configured in WMC.

So you with to perform TV Setup again?"

I have two cards, each with two tuners. (Hauppauge)

The tuners prompt can be ignored. EPG123 will look at how many registry entries WMC has for tuners and that can be exaggerated if you have installed software tuners like from Hauppauge or DVBLink.

You are not getting any downloads from SD because your connection keeps getting closed. It sounds like a network problem on your end. For a test, rather than try to download everything at once, just try to download a single channel for a single day and see if it completes. The ~20 seconds before each connection drop seems suspicious.

Used phone as hot spot and it worked fine. High speed internet at the house. Not sure what was causing the issue. Any suggestions on what needs to be configured? Turned off antivirus and made sure nothing else is running on the system.

Based on the information that's been provided by you and Gary, it appears that your problem lies in either your modem (ISP) or your router (if you have one). When you used your phone as a hotspot you effectively bypassed your modem and router and it worked.

These pieces of equipment are out of SD's control. Have you tried rebooting your modem and router?

Also... Have you made any changes or installed new firmware to your router?
