Changing task to boot up instead of time

#1

Post by We87 » Sun Nov 07, 2021 1:02 am

Windows 7, EPG v1.7.0.8, single machine setup

Everything is working fine for now, but this computer doesn't stay on all the time and I'd like to change the scheduled task to boot up or start up with windows instead of a scheduled time to import the guide.

I have already changed the scheduled task that's created in the "client" app and have verified that works when I restart. I did this by going into the windows task scheduler app and editing the task EPG made.

But I wanted to verify that this was the only thing I needed to do because I feel something else needs to be changed but I can not figure out what exactly needs to be done next.

The whole reason for this is this particular machine isn't always on, and stays off for days sometimes weeks at a time. But if everything happens at bootup that would be perfect. Thanks in advance for any information I appreciate it.

That should be all you need. To do it with the client/configuration GUI you just need to create the task to not wake the computer. It will run the task as soon as possible after booting up... it can be a minute or two after, but it will run.
