Missing Guide Data

#1

Post by devonaire » Tue Mar 10, 2020 4:23 pm

Hello! I got the "listings will be out of date" a couple of weeks ago and, sure enough, I have had no downloads since. "No Data Available" is in almost every channel in WMC. I've downloaded the latest epg123. I've changed client to full mode. No listings.

Now what?

Not enough info here to help. Post the trace log of your latest run (using code tags). If your PC sleeps, is the wake to run checked for the task?

"The trace log"? What is it/where is it. Yes, I checked the "wake" box.

This worked fine for a couple of months, now it's stopped.

Actually, probably located at C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\trace.log if you installed in the default location.

The only thing I found which might be useful was "trace.log". Unfortunately, when I try to add it to this message, I get an "invalid file" error.

Here are the last few lines:

Presto! I have guide listings. Even the ones which never showed up before. Any ideas?

Yes you finally had a run with full mode. The log snippet you provided showed you were just loading an old .mxf with no new listings in it. I assume after you changed the mode to full you did not do a save and execute (Which would have run immediately and updated the mxf file) so nothing happened till the next scheduled run of the daily update task.

It was always in full mode. Don't recall seeing a "save and execute" option.

The trace.log file will probably provides some clues, but considering your MXF file was 14 days old and then suddenly works, I suspect you had a corrupted cache file that finally died out of the guide.

Note that you had 14 days of a red status logo on the WMC home page which tells you something went wrong and this could have been corrected then. If it appears that you have a corrupted cache file then the way to correct it is to use the configuration GUI and click the [Clear Cache] button and then the [Save & Execute] button. It will download everything again and create the MXF file for import.
