Help with EPG123 and channel change

#1

Post by Rainey » Wed Feb 26, 2020 9:44 pm

Hi everyone

I got EPG123 setup on new years eve when the WMC guide stopped.
I Requested all missing channels added at that time and all has been working good.

A few weeks ago one of the channels 9.4 changed from CW to LAFF.
So far the guide has not changed, i have opened EPG123.exe and do see any way to see if there is any thing i need to do to get it to update for any change.
I don't think EPG123 Client has any thing to do with this but i have not rebuild the WMC database or any thing yet.

So my question is this, if the guide service (EPG123) updates a channel i already get, will the guide just change the next time i download data?
Or is there something else i have to do to get the change?

If the first question is true and i don't have to do anything then i must need to report the channel change to EPG123 to get the new channel guide data changed.
Maybe i am the only one using this EPG in my area and they don't know a channel changed.

Thank you
Rainey

Your guide data is from Schedules Direct and they are who you need to contact if the data is not correct for a channel. EPG123 is not a guide service it is just the application that retrieves the data from Schedules Direct and loads it into WMC.

Check the listings at https://tvlistings.zap2it.com/?aid=gapzap to see if the schedule has changed from CW to LAFF. If so, and WMC is not correct, then do a database rebuild from the client and import the latest MXF file. That should clear it up.

If the Zap2it listings are not correct, then submit a ticket with Schedules Direct to notify the upstream (Gracenote) of the lineup change.
