Tuners overwhelmed

I love this EPG 123. Got the little TV symbol in red for the first time since install in November. Went to the log and saw there was no tuner to satisfy an upcoming scheduled recording. Turns out I have a series schedule for Women's Basketball as we follow the local team. Unfortunately no way to record our team only, so on a Sunday afternoon all 6 tuners are engaged if I don't do something first. This threw up an error to the EPG I guess. Anyway, an easy fix and back to green next day, but this is a nice feature indeed. Way to go Gary.

Have you tried setting up a keyword recording, instead of a series recording? I used "NFL Football Vikings" as a keyword recording during football season, and it worked well.

I don't think I can take credit for that, at least not for the reasons you think. I suspect that you got the red logo because you were recording basketball games for 5 or 23 hours depending on what version of EPG123 you are running. The log will say if that is the reason. By default, EPG123 will not import an mxf file while there are any recordings in progress.

Thanks much, Tony. Will try that. So like Women's basketball Uconn as example?

OK, I will go and look at that log report again.

That’s the idea. Just look at your listings and see what terms they use for the events and for your team. You could even set up multiple keyword recordings, if necessary — so one could include “UConn” and another “Connecticut” or whatever.

Looking at the log more carefully, I see a bunch of messages next to channel numbers. All say: "No tuners associated with....."
Looks like my version is 1.3.00 of 12/14/19.

Yes, Tony, that did work just fine. Thank you, sir!
