When I run a new setup in WMC, it locks up. I did a clean install, same thing. My tuner is a Hauppauge HVR-2250 and can see the tuners just fine on WinTV, but once I try to run setup on WMC, it locks up my computer and I have to restart.
If I choose to accept the guide in WMC, it gets me farther through setup but then hangs and says it says I don't have a tuner. Mediacom recently started changing everyone over to TIVO which will not permit you to record anything, that is not on THEIR DVR (their DVR is an additional charge).
I am wondering if the lock-out has begun, that cable companies are able to control what people can do with their signal. We have an adapter, not a cable box. WMC has worked in the past, but now I can't get the new guide it. I am still on the 7 days of free service on the Schedules Direct, to see if it is even possible to get WMC to work.
I go through the EPG123 Client Guide Tool and run the clean setup and it gets to Step 2 TV Setup and it says it is waiting for the user to close WMC -then nothing. It hangs like that until I log off then log back in. Once I log back in to Windows, then go back to WMC, it says that I don't have any tuners (even through they still work on WINTV) and it forces me to restart so it will see the tuners. It has been a endless loop of more of the same.
Log below always ends in [1/5/2020 3:02:44 PM] [ INFO] Successfully queried the Task Scheduler for status. Could not start. Last Run 1/5/2020 9:07:32 AM; Exit: 0xFFFFFFFF
is there any hope for WMC or has Mediacom now robbed me of using this great program?

Have you added your lineup to your schedules direct account and enabled it in epg123?

When the client says "Waiting for user to close WMC ...", does WMC show back up somewhere? It should present itself so you can perform a TV Setup.
I had a report last week or the week before that the windows would be minimized or behind another form, so you may have to look in the taskbar to see if WMC is there.
