Okay, maybe not so easy. For some reason, you have a slew of stations that do not have a GuideName associated with them. Unfortunately, that information comes from your tuners and I don't have access to your hardware to see what is going on there. I'll work on something to either address the problem or fake it.

I take that back, it may be easy to do. I'll send you a new hdhr2mxf.exe to try when you get a chance.

I've been following this thread as I am receiving a similar message with the latest build.

Code: Select all

[12/27/2019 9:59:37 PM] Entering importMxfFile() for file "C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output\epg123.mxf"
[12/27/2019 9:59:54 PM] [ INFO] Error: The following error was encountered while processing the file. Aborting.
[12/27/2019 9:59:54 PM] [ INFO] Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
[12/27/2019 9:59:54 PM] [ERROR] Error using loadmxf.exe to import new guide information. Exit code: -1
[12/27/2019 9:59:54 PM] Exiting importMxfFile(). FAILURE.
[12/27/2019 10:45:07 PM] [ERROR] Unhandled thread exception caught from epg123Client.exe. message: Cannot access a disposed object.
Object name: 'ObjectStoreEvents is null'.
I can send you the mxf and xmltv files if needed.

I just PM'd you a new binary to try, if you could. It may be the same problem that hawleytoner found.

Thanks, I ran it a few times to be sure it was building a new mxf and xmltv. It fails on the import still, and in the same spot. I ran the import separately so I could catch the error message.

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\epg123>hdhr2mxf.exe -update -import

C:\Program Files (x86)\epg123>C:\Windows\ehome\loadmxf.exe -i C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output\epg123.mxf
Loading... 93%Error: The following error was encountered while processing the file. Aborting.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Okay, I've had some time to think this over a bit, and it appears that what is throwing things off is SiliconDust is providing guide listings for more channels than what your tuners say you have. Is there something special about these stations that make them unique to all the others (flagged favorite, disabled, not listed, ...)? The below are just samples to see if there is a pattern.

@mce99: USAP, AETVP, TNTP, AMCP, DSCP
@hawleytoner: TBS, USA, AETV, TNT, AMC, DSC

There is nothing special about those channels that I'm aware of. I am running a scan right now through the HDHomeRun Setup app and will try generating and importing mxf and xmltv after the scan. The scan takes a while though.

After the channel scan, there was no change. It failed exactly as before, even with the newly generated mxf and xmltv files.

So on your tuner webpage(s), you see channels 101 USAP, 102 AETVP, 103 TNTP, 105 AMCP, and 106 DSCP and there is nothing special about them?

They look like all the rest. None of them end in P, they end in HD. They are all tagged DRM HD just like almost every channel. 382 channels are listed.

Code: Select all

 101 USAHD DRM HD
 102 AETVHD DRM HD
 103 TNT-HD DRM HD
 105 AMCHD DRM HD
 106 DSCHD DRM HD

The difference in the callsign is to be expected. It's the difference in what your cable provider labels them and what Gracenote labels them.

Were you able to run the updated program I sent you and save the output?

I'd like to shout out to @mc99, @hawleytoner, and @rtbond for helping me get HDHR2MXF working with some peculiarities of guide data provided by SiliconDust and the scenarios I didn't account for in my code with cable lineups. It appears we now have a fully functional program to work with in v1.3.3.30.

Thank you very much!

Yes, that was the final piece of the puzzle.

Thanks!

Thanks for the shout out. I hate being the bearer of bad news, but I'm still not getting it to import. Same error with GUI as before, so I ran the same manual import as yesterday. It got further this time - 99% vs. 92% yesterday:

C:\Windows\ehome\loadmxf.exe -i C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output\epg123.mxf

I got the following additional details:

Loading...99%Error: The following error was encountered while processing the file. Aborting.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I will send you the .mxf & .xmltv files again - perhaps as a link this time.
