WMC reinstall but MXF file not created

I had to reinstall EPG123 for some reason (Windows seems to have retaken control of WMC). I downloaded the new version and did a complete reinstall of WPG123, following the instructions. When I hit "save & execute" in the server, it does not create the MXF file. So, I have no guide data in WMC for Windows 7 (will upgrade to Windows 10 over the holiday break). I cannot manually import on the client, for instance.

Do I have to wait until the task runs at midnight? Or is something wrong?

The trace.log file should give some indication of your setup and what went wrong. Please post the contents from the last 1 or 2 update attempts.

I ran it again, and it's basically the same. The same XML error and the same downloaded zero daily schedules.

The error appears to be coming from trying to access the guideImages.xml file. Do you have it open, or did you edit it? You can delete the file and allow EPG123 to recreate it. See if it gets any further.

EDIT: I guess I could tell you where the guideImages.xml file is. :oops: If you installed EPG123 in the default location, then the guideImages.xml file is located at C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\guideImages.xml. The ProgramData folder is hidden, so if you don't want to go through the hassle, you could open the EPG123 Configuration GUI (epg123.exe) and click the [Clear Cache]. That will take care of it along with the thousands of other cached files. It will rebuild on next update.

That worked! By this, I mean I did the [Clear Cache], then reran the "Save & Execute", which took much longer, but worked. When I ran the client, both sides were populated, and running WMC, the guide is back.
