Rename SBF to WTV and then convert to AVI, etc

A few months back I went a round with dell data safe and I lost. My computer was restored to when I first received it.

I am slowly getting it back to where I was, but I am having issues converting WMC7 .tmp.sbf files.

Back few months ago, I could rename the .sbf file to test.wtv and then open it in AVC free and convert it to avi, etc.

When I try that now, same AVC free version won't do ANYTHING with it. No errors that it can't open it. Nothing.

Any ideas what's going on? Are there any codec packs I may be missing?

No answers??

There are 6 .sbf files in the temp directory and I discovered last night I could copy the current buffer file and then rename it to a .WTV file and then re-encode it to an AVI file as long as there was no crappy cci crap connected to i

Now, does anyone have any ideas on why only the current buffer file can be converted.
