Guide Images Wrong

#1

Post by jebidia » Tue Nov 08, 2016 1:21 am

Hi Al,

Curious if anyone might have some insight how to fix this issue.

On Comcast with the Ceton 4 channel tuner and recently some of our "preview images" of channels is incorrect. I've tried going back through the setup and choosing our provider but the issue still exists. Has this happened to anyone else?

thanks

Assuming by preview images you're referring to the program guide images. This has been a chronic issue since Microsoft switched to Rovi as guide provider. There's little you can do about it, aside from switching to EPG123 to go back to the previous provider (Gracenote).

Hi Alan, yes that's the issue. Is it recommended to switch or do people feel the new provider going to resolve the issue? How does one go about switching that?

Thanks for the response

Yes, switching is recommended and resolves almost every issue. You also get season and episode # in each show description.

We have a whole sub-forum dedicated to EPG123. There is a link to the installation guide on top.

On your other question... Rovi/MS hasn't improved on the situation in over a year. I'd count 0% on it improving on it's own.
