Lost all guide entries (EPG missing)

#1

I successfully made the change over to Rovi this summer, but now just completely lost the guide. It won't update and just says it's out of date. Forcing an update says it is downloaded but nothing loads.

Here's what I've tried:
Reset to another zip.
Complete resetup of TV signal.
DNSflush.
Deleted all setup info (forget the exact step but gave me the "encountered serious error") and did complete resetup.

All of this runs without "error" but nothing gets me a guide. As in, it acts as if it is configuring, finds the tuners (HDhomeruns), downloads the guide, says it was successful....and then nothing. What am I missing here as to why it would randomly stop working.

Thanks.

Did you have entries in your hosts file?

Alright, you got me. I googled and couldn't find how I check the host file, just a lot of discussion about changing it. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

If you didn't tweak it some time ago you don't need to set it back to defaults and this wasn't your problem.

Bummer, so I guess that's a dead end. Anything else I can check for errors or logs?
